An image from “Cemetery Reflections” has been chosen to be part of an online Photography exhibit at the Connecticut Fine Arts Association. The exhibit was juried by George Schaub, an editor for 30 years in Shutterbug and Popular Photography magazines. The show will be up November 5-December 10.
An imposing Grief statue dominates this section of Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. What struck me about the scene was the evocative power of this statue, a striking counterpoint to the woman tending to her loved one’s grave. Caring for a gravesite extends the caring we no longer can do for someone we love, creating an opportunity to continue a connection with the person so missed.
