I was recently interviewed by Beth Adams, host of β€œThe Morning Edition,” on our local PBS station WXXI in Rochester.  We met at Lakeview Cemetery, Pultneyville, NY.  The headstones overlook a peach orchard and Lake Ontario. It is surrounded by apple orchards and the Cornwall Land Trust on the other sides. Created in 1806 and still active for modern day burials, it speaks of the history of the town dated back to the early European settlers.  They were a hardy group, coming to live their dreams of a new life in an unknown region.  Unlike the larger towns, the hamlet of Pultneyville has remained largely agricultural.

The cemetery is a joy to behold in all seasons.  Spring trees are flowering with blossoms. In summer the historic cemetery trees become monuments themselves as they leaf out and provide shade for v visitors.  Fall brings the apple harvest and striking color.  In winter unearthly quiet as the snow blankets the ground and the ice quiets the lake.

The interview will be aired sometime in October.
